Hire Charter Band
If you thought that it would be too expensive to have live music at your corporate, charity or private event, think again. Charter Band is available for events of all types and all sizes at surprisingly inexpensive rates. We are particularly keen to support local fundraising events such as fetes.
For smaller events such as private parties, or for short-notice bookings, you might consider a smaller group drawn from Charter Band's diverse membership. In all cases, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Our programme can be tailored to suit you, but our repertoire generally includes lighter music such as medleys from musicals, film scores, and Big Band standards. We usually perform two 45-minute sets with an interval of half an hour, but this is flexible.
Important considerations before hiring
- As a non-professional band, we usually need to agree bookings well in advance of your proposed date.
- We will require a fair amount of space - we usually have in excess of twenty players for most gigs. We're entirely acoustic, however, so don't need a power supply.
- If your proposed event is outdoors, please consider a wet-weather contingency plan or shelter. A large gazebo or small marquee is ideal.
- As all our players are volunteers and receive no payment, they would appreciate any assistance you can offer that will make things easier and reduce their personal expenses. For example, it would be helpful to have close vehicular access to the venue to drop off larger instruments; parking nearby for players; and perhaps some light refreshments at the interval.
